Samsung Pixon Vs Sony Ericsson C905 Vs LG Renoir
Getting a new phone very soon, and just wondered which of the 3 people have used/decided on themselves?
Samsung Pixon
Sony Ericsson C905
LG Renoir
I think my least favourite is the Samsung, but not sure about the LG or Sony. I do like the Sony phones, and not used a LG one before, or touch screen for that matter.
Opinions?

I have the LG, its a cracking phone. Pictures are quite good, nusic player is good and the internet is spot on I have had an iphone before and I much prefer this phone over that. I also think the renoir is said to be the best camera phone around, better than the 2 you have mentioned

hehe, two different opinions!
I thought I'd read the C905 had the better camera? Obviously that was just one review I read.
Whats texting like on them both?

Chris - texting is fine on the C905 - unlike some mobiles I have tried.
Camera is an 8.1MP jobby with face detection and all sorts. Very good (in fact the best) for a phone but most proper compact cameras will still laugh at it.
Two examples below - our dog in St Ives and our garden in the snow:

I was looking at the same range of phones and after having a play with them all went for the Samsung Pixon
Had it around 2 months now and really cant fault it!
I can wack out texts faster than any phone ive had and the camera is sweet too! Scores well on all the comparison sites too, but them ill never use half the stuff it can do (just like all phones tho really)
I personally love it, but im sure others will disagree

Good choice!
Should you be a sad git like me, check out Fishlabs.net for the very best in mobile phone games. The rally and snowboarding ones are superb for use when bored! Cheap too.

Matt - they do indeed. "Proper" email too, although I use Yahoo.
The best thing is wifi (for me) - so damn handy. And being able to drag and drop files onto/off it via the USB flash adaptor you get with it.
My only gripe is the GPS which is next to hopeless (down here) - can't pick up satellites properly and you rack up massive data charges too. Google Maps/Earth does the job for me.

Matt - when I had an N70, I hated it so much that I managed to talk Orange into letting me change it about four months into a contract. Just told them how utterly hopeless it was and they agreed. Might be worth trying?

Nokia are pants.
That said heard a few SE reliablity problems (most in this thread) but to be honest i've had a W850i since they came out, i've dropped it and basically ragged it to death and it have never missed a beat. Served as the MP3 player all across Europe on bike trips, been soaked the lot.

Good plan, just checked ebay and there is a healthy market so worse case scenario is to pay and then sell the HTC. Off to take a look in Carphone at lunctime to see whether i like it.

Fivetide - my last phone was a W850i - I ended up having four altogether - the speaker kept going - but I still rate it very highly. And living in the back of beyond, the torch was very handy! Also used mine as an MP3 player, although I used to activate it all the time by mistake - once in a meeting! All serious and highbrow then suddenly Trentemoller started playing in my pocket! Prefer the system on the C905 - less easy to acccidentally switch on.
Had Nokias for about ten years but will never have one again.
