Any good?
I ask simply because I have seen a 'BT Aviator' new for £29 and it looks pretty capable ......

Is it worth buying a DAB Radio? I did read last year that they were turning off the DAB Broadcasts ... so, beware of buying one - true?

My work kettle blew up last week so I went to Chavsda for a new one as I knew they're cheap in there (£7).
As my work radio also stopped working last week I bought one of their DAB radios for £22.00.
I'll be surprised if it lasts more than a few months but first impressions are that it sounds ok and has a good reception (has FM on it also).
22 quid for a DAB..... whatever next?

I've got 2. First one ive had since DAB was launched and I only busted it a bit when it fell off the fence while fixing the scoob! Still works no problem. I think they are great, the other is in my office @ work in the backround for less than 30 quid - do it! That money will only burn a bigger hole

I listen to Gold quite a bit - the old 60s and 70s music tracks. The sound quality is superb, far better than the old Dansette I had to use way back.
Pete will tell you what a Dansette is btw

Sony XDRS55DABB Light & Compact DAB Portable Radio: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo
I've got this Sony. Nice little radio for football (5 live). I bought 12 rechargeables and a charger that automatically cuts off when charged as it does use batteries. I make sure i always have 2 sets ready.
I use it all the time, no interference on am.
