Got sent home today after the threat of being snowed in am i right in thinking we still get paid for the day as we were sent home by management, what are the laws regarding this?

If they sent you home then yes you should be paid, if they stated that you could not book the time and you went home early then no you can't.

This really depends on your actual contract of employment.
If management send staff home then they will get paid for the duration of the basic shift, it is therefore up to the management to find you work or alternative work if not your normal job, however the hard line if taken! means this work should be based on your job description, but this can be open to misinterpretation of said description.
So yes you should, dependent on your contract.

Not our fault half the lazy bastids cba to make a showing lol.
Even management were boning, i think it took i 1.30h to bone about 110 quarters.
