Default Itunes drives me bonkers!!

I have my daughter with me in work and she wants to listen to my Ipod on one of the PCs here. I've downloaded Itunes, I've authorised the PC but it still won't let me play any of the songs on it.

I hate itunes. The playlist creation thingy is carp.

Thats because you can't with Itunes anyway take them from your Ipod to a PC

Can't she just use your IPOD?

Because she wants to listen to them from speakers because the buds don't fit in her ears.

How do I get the songs off the Ipod to the PC? Is that possible?

Two options

1. Something like anapod will work both ways

2. Unplug the speakers from the PC and plug the Ipod into them

Ta. I got it to play the tunes through Itunes in the end.

I initially plugged the speakers into the Ipod directly but it wouldn't work. Tried two sets of speakers on work PCs and neither would produce sound. Don't know why.

For future reference, you can transfer I-tunes purchases from I-Pod to PC by doing what you did, but not stuff you've ripped your self. For that you'll need Anapod or something.

You can also copy the music from the ipod onto the PC, and get iTunes to access the tracks that way. (view the ipod as a hard drive, make sure you can view 'hidden files' in options, and you'll quickly spot the folders holding the tracks).
