Paypal have increased their protection systems too - which, conveniently for them, mean they get to sit on your money for upto an extra 21 days, as well as the hefty charges.

Looks the same to me - I like the new design, much easier to use if you have a decent setup.
As for Paypal fees and/or ebay fees, nobody forces you to use either service so if the fees are steep try doing it another way.
Personally, I would be knackered without eBay and PayPal - I have sold over £2k worth of gear on eBay that I wouldn't have had a chance of doing elsewhere.
Likewise I've had some real bargains from eBay as well, saved over £120 on my recent Magnex purchase
eBay and PP are a business, surely nobody expects them to run for free? Although it wouldn't surprise me in the UK
