Problem with the 1st film is it didn't know its target audience. Most people who grew up with Transformers are now late 20s early 30s. And certainly all the teaser trailers suggested a more "adult" theme.
Sadly it was just another kids film which is probably why I disliked it. I daresay the new one will be the same. And I'll be very sad if I don't get to see Megan Fox in the shower in this new one

Oh and just a quick post, 2009 looks to be another crap year for films.
Only decent releases that I know of are Wolverine, Terminator, Star Treck, Agnels and Demons, Harry Pothead.
Cant say I will be going to see any of them - other than maybe Terminator and Transformers.

looking forward to this but I hope they don't turn it into a camp fest like they did the first one, Optimus Prime was the biggest gheyboy in the movie and wtf with the scene with the kid and his moms in the house... just destroyed my childhood vision of Transformers
