Call of Duty!
I have just started playing CoD World at War for the first time and was surprised by the content.
For those who don't know (including me until recently) CoD WaW is a war game set in World War II. The opening scene is a fairly graphic depiction of some Japanese Soldiers torturing and killing US PoWs. They then get rescued and go off and shoot a lot (and I mean a lot) of Japanese soldiers, or bayonet them in close quarters.
I totally bemused by this - it is hard to imagine it selling well in Japan (does it) and it runs on a platform made by a company with an HQ in Tokyo.
How paradoxical! Did anyone else think this?
PS Posted here as it is social, not geek, comment

Obviously - I had not really looked at the game at all - got it as a present so did not really think about the content.
Of course given the context - what happens in the game is obvious - I just don't see it selling big in Japan or Germany!
The added paradox is that it is one of THE games on a Japanese platform.
But there again - without WWII we probably wouldn't have Sony, or Toyota, or more to the point Subaru!!

CoD 5 dosent offer the same type of multiplayer gametype as CoD4 did, bit of a let down TBH, CoD UO and CoD2 were probably the best out of the lot TBH
