eBay eCheque
Hi All,
I was sent an echeque from a buyer which was later reversed, luckily I did not send the goods.
The buyer now wants to pay by postal orders, something seems fishy about the deal to me, he now wants my address to send these orders to.
Could this be some sort of scam, or am I being paranoid?

An Echeque is funded from the buyers bank account rather than a credit card, like a normal cheque - but if they dont have the money to cover it when it clears, then it will bounce ( just like a normal cheque ), which is why your payment didnt clear.
Sounds most likely the buyer didnt have the funds left in their bank to cover it, so wants to send PO's instead.
They will already have your address from Ebay from the checkout, so there isnt any scam involved to get your address.
If you get them to send uncrossed PO's you can cash them straight away at the post office, just do this and as long as they are legit PO's and not fake ones, then you've been paid and you can send the item.
