Where did you buy the tv from mate?
most retailers will offer a refund if a customer is not happy with a product, but do not have to refund it for no reason i dont think.
check buyers rights online.

The tv was bought from nu-way in person,i asked if my equipment i have already i.e sky xbox ps3 and dvd would work fine,he said yes and they dont!the sky picture is terrible, the dvd picture is blurry and u cant make out any facial features, both the xbox and ps3 picture is really poor and there seem to by lines floating around the screen that i never had on my old tv

I had just read the the sales good act of 1979 ,and it states that if i was told it would work fine with my equipment which i might add is all under 5 weeks old, which it doesnt that i am intitled to a refund

You should have bought a LG!
Joking aside, there is something wrong with the TV or with the connections - simple as that.
Faulty TV and you get your money back - faulty connections and you need to sort them out ....... you sure you have no crosstalk of signal?

go in with the TV, get them to test it there and then. If it looks faulty, tell them u want it replaced. nuff said. I used to sell TV (up until last year) Panasonic rarely go wrong so don't worry about getting a replacement as they are great TV's on the whole.
On anther note, i noticed that any plasma/LCD panels generally needs about 2 weeks to a month to look its best, some look really bad once u get them.
On the Sky side of things make sure u got a good scartlead and set it to RGB output.

with that comment u have to be taking the mick, panny are head and shoulders above any other plasma.
anyways it sounds like a set up issue, make sure everthing has been adjusted to the new telly and is not on the old tellys settings.
what does all ur items plug into? do have a cinema receiver like an onkyo or denon or do you plug 2 things into hdmi and something else into component?

I have had my own TV problems in the past .... with a LG and a certain awful retail outlet called CURRYS

The key words are, "I reject the TV". But you must give the shop the chance to solve the problem first.
By the way ..... not joking this time, LG TV's have the best picture quality I have seen - my eyes tell me that.

Yeah, OK then ......
I am never led by 'names' or 'geeky' recommendations ..... I cut my own furrow, I do not look at the badge and let that influence me - that's just plain daft badge snobbery which gets you second rate products
But you carry on ......

You dont have to give the shop a chance to do anything. If it is defective then it doesnt conform and you neednt accept any remedy offered or proposed by the vendor.
