Default Gadget insurance

Mods please don't move this isn't car related lol.

I have an mp3 player i wish to cover incase of accidental damage, i have a habit of dropping the things so i may as well cover the thing.

Anyone know of any good insurers for this?

It will be covered on your home contents insurance, assuming you have home insurance. If not, get some!

Trouble is excess is £75 which hardly makes it worth having it covered, anyway i wanted it covered when i nip out anywhere as well.

Anyway i found a place, £43 per year, not bad for peace of mind it's covered no matter what.

Ah, my bro' in law has one of them, he brought it back from the states with him. Its Titanium or something, I'm pretty sure his came with a protective case? Maybe its the case thats titanium?

Just rung him . . . He says its the Titanium Black model, if that makes any sense? Paid $200 for it, which was ~ £100 at the time.

If I'd known they were expensive over here, he should of brought a load of them back!

It's about $200 for the 8gb model which is probably the one he's thinking about, i paid £185 for my 16gb model as i had a 10% off code and had it sent special delivery.

Great player though.

It is a titanium black model chrome aren't available yet, cases are about but they're crap, im waiting for a decent one to come out, cowon themselves afaik haven't released one yet.

No its deffo the 16Gb model - He was saying he wanted a bigger memory but that was the biggest they did. His wife has family over there and a cousin got it for him at staff price from the place she works!

Sounds like he got a bargain then!

If it is covered under your contents policy and then you cover it on a bespoke policy, does not the duplicated cover mean that it may not be covered at all?
Back in the 90's I used to work for a specialist claims department at a big insurers in bindipperland and both companies were always trying to wriggle out if there was a chance of duplicate cover
