Thumbs up Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds

I just happened to watch this on SKY movies today. I'd never even knew about this version, it looked and sounded superb; so much so I've booked tickets at Bournemouth BIC in June to see it live!

Anyone seen this live? I'm 36 and this will be my first ever 'concert', so this film really has impressed me

First I've heard of this Ogilvy, and I've been listening to the audio book of War Of The Worlds for months...

Seen some of it when it was shown on telly a while back. Heard some talk about it on Radio 2 and appartenly the new Live shows have got some more funky effects that they use.

I really want to go and see it. The Tom Cruise movie was total shoite, Americans stuffing it up again, it's all supposed to be set down the road from where I live now, which makes it all a bit more groovy.

Everything is shot in the right location..

From the Sand Pits to Woking town centre.. it's all geographically correct.

Damn that we only have the first 3 parts...

Are there more??

I watched part of it yeasterday whilst hungover and trying to get to sleep on the couch yesterday, it was the bit with the Priest and his misses and then the bit with the soldier. I fell asleep after that and woke up at the end at the bit with the astronaut.
