Wireless Digital Photo Frames..
Looking into buying a 10''+ digital photo frame for the front room and want it wall mountable so no horrible wires running upto it.
Had a quick google, and there appear to be Wifi frames Does this mean it needs a permanent wireless internet connection to stream the images from? How is the thing powered/illuminated?
Apologies, just wanting to see if there are any that will do the job, but without having to have the computer switched on 24/7 Or is this even the case??
As you can tell, newbie to all this

a lot have a small amount of memory space so you can download pics to so it doesn't need to be connected to a pc all the time most also have slots for all sorts of memory cards as well. the wifi ones just do the download bit over the air so to speak so you don't need to connect to a pc at all.
some also have an internal battery to power it but it doesn't last long only a couple of hours so all are mainly powered by a transformer
