hi guys
just bought a dvd recorder with built in hard drive/freeview etc etc

but it says you can watch one channel while recording another which is the main reason i bought it
my question is HOW?? cos i'll be buggered if i can work it out

What make is it?

With single tuner hard drive recorders what they usually mean is that you can record a freeview channel whilst watching a terestrial channel (so that gives you 5 to choose from).

More expensive Twin digital tuner harddrive recorders will let you record two freeview channels and view a recording at the same time. Strangely, the other night ours was recording two channels and we were watching a further freeview channel............. not sure how that works but it recorded everything fine.
