Default West Coast mainline "miracle"

According to the Beeb

"there will be more than 1,100 extra trains running on the West Coast line each week"

How can this be possible??

Doing the maths, and dividing 1,100 by (7*24) means that there will be an extra train every ten minutes !! That is extra trains, on top of the existing service! Thinking further, as services tend to be reduced at weekends, and there are a lot less trains between, say 21:00 and 06:00 - will trains actually be able to stop at a station because the next train will have arrived before the first one has boarded.

And where have they found an extra couple of thousand drivers?

Or is this more lying propaganda??

Think you* will find its extra seats, but under Virgins new timetable there will be a train leaving Manchester to London every 20 minutes.

And it's also running in both directions so it's an additional 3 trains per hour each way.
