Anyone with a long case Grandfather Clock?
as title, anyone have one?
wanna show a pic?
Do you know how old it is, history etc?
I know there're no so popular now and prices have really dropped but I've just got one last week at an auction, £350!!
Dreweatts 1759 :: Nottingham
Cleaned the case up yesterday also cleaned all the 'works' and oiled them and dad's fiddled with it today and got it ticking/working.
just keeping an eye on the time to see if its going too fast or slow

Rose's father used to make Grandfather clocks back in his woodworking days, so there is one working clock currently at her mother's house, and a couple of carcasses, one of which is Rose's and within the next couple of months we should be getting the mechanism installed and we'll then have a functioning clock
