I'm back home now. It took me an hour to get less than 1/4 mile from my flat. Total Grid lock. Turned round and came home. Have to try later though. Boss said.

When I worked at British Midland we had a thing called "duvet days". You were allowed 6 days a year when you could phone in and basically say "I can't be arsed, I'm spending the day in bed". If there was nothing pressing to do there was no problem... it was only frowned on when you left someone else in the lurch.
