Default Where are all the credit crunch bargain cars?

Anyone found anything going cheap lately? Looking to spend around 4k on something sensible. Looked at bugeye WRX's (again) but wouldnt mind something different.

Any suggestions?

Allegedly a lot of 3 year pcp type deals from 2005 ending around then so flooded market and everything trickles down.

Thats you best bet, If you look at the bigger engine, not so good on fuel type cars. They are the ones taking the biggest hits right now.

Saw a few big 4x4's pass through the local one at Blackbushe for really cheap. Great place to get ex fleet cars. Great time of year to be in the position to buy too.

Ive heard good things about that auction. Although i'll probably go to Bridgwater. Wish i wasnt so far away from the scottish auctions. They used to be the cheapest of the lot!

I hear they still are. Its a good place to go if you know a little about cars. There are a lot of cars dealers dont want on the forecourt right now and they are the bargains you will pick up.
You have to post if you go, let us see what you get. But the S4 sounds like a good plan to me.

The main bargains seem to be on new stuff - quite a few dealerships doing "buy-one-get-one-free's" on Focus's and stuff.

If anyone is looking for an A3 2.0 TDi Sport bargain then let me know

Just bought a 3 year old MX5, the new shape, with option pack and 25,000 miles for £6k. Has 4 months warranty, 4 months tax and 12 months MOT. Not for me ...... some amazing stuff out there dirt cheap.

Not from the Auctions. Private sale.

No-one is buying so sellers have to turn to the trade, I rode to the rescue as a private buyer with my £6k, stunning car, I gave it as a present.

Thought that would be one car fairly unaffected by the credit crunch.

They must have been desperate for money!

The MX5 is resilient in the depreciation costs of ownership.

MX5's for such cheap prices should tell you what state the market is really in.

Loads of cheap cars around, I was offered BMW 645's 3 years old full BM history for 13k a little while ago, 08 plate range rover sports for 38k I am selling a 2005 BMW 330d sport with 35k miles on the clock for 14.5k. The cheap cars are everywhere.
