Food Processors
Have started making homemade soups recently and my cheapy hand blender packed in after a couple of months so need something a bit more reliable.
I started looking around and Magimix seem to have a good rep and I remember my mum had one for years and never let her down. Then I got on to thinking all the other things I can use it for like bread dough, cake mixtire, mixing egg whites etc.
Are there any other makes I should take a look at for around £150 tops?
Cheers

My wife has one of these: Braun Hand Blender 600 Watt Variable Speed: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home and uses it everyday to make smoothies and every so often to blend a variety of soups and witch-like concoctions.
We have had it for a couple of years and it still works, which is quite good considering the use it has got.

I've got a hand blender with bowl and mini processor thingy as well as a Kenwood food processor with just about every gadget you can think of including blender, I've used it to make bread, cakes, pizza, chop veggies, just about everything else.
I've been really pleased with the Kenwood. It cost around £100-ish quid IIRC.

I always find with any kitchen electrical items (apart from the kettle and the toaster), that it's the best ones to buy depend on the space you have at the back of your kitchen cupboards because that is where they will end up after enough use to render taking them back to the shop a non-starter.
