Chinese name pronunciation required ......
Long story short ...
Bought something on Ebay at the beginning of the year, has gone wrong and I have 'researched' them, found lots of links all leading to a Chinese person called HUAQIAN XIE (also calls himself David ).
Now, I have found numerous phone numbers for him, but I also seem to have stumbled across a home number, when the phone is answered though, I would like to know how his first name is pronounced, so that I seem a genuine caller for him and not someone who is chasing him to sort out the problems.
I also have addresses for him/his company (would only take an hour drive to get between all addresses as I have already route planned through Google)
As any of you on here who know me ....... I will find the info. and will get the result I am after, but Ebay/the seller are not making it easy for me.
Any help greatfully received

HUAQIAN XIE = a bad attempt at phonetics, and i don't really speak mandarin, but know enough to get by - "hwaarrk-yan jee" (pronouncing "jee" as the french would). not sure i the "H" is pronounced or not
it is common for the chinese to choose english names, so i wouldn't be suspicious of him calling himself david. any other matter is none of my business

people here don't tend to use first names. given names or christian names as we would usually refer to them are rarely used, hence why people choose english names.
i'm currently speaking to a student who is looking for guidance on "uk culture" as he's about to go university in hatfield. he has chosen the name "garry" and it still makes me laugh sometimes the names people choose - english names just don;t seem to suit some people in asia, in the same way that a chinese name wouldn't suit your average european/brit (ie me)
