Lol I thought of the same thing about 20 years ago, just wasnt worth the hassle for an Xr3i outside a 1930's semi

depending on how close it is to the road (or the nearest adopted public highway), it may not need consent. boring i know, but you did ask!


....and depending on how close to the neighbours' boundaries, may not have needed a party wall agreement either (snazy knows all about this and the potential consequences!)

Pretty common in Japan those.
There you need to prove you have space to keep a car before you are allowed to buy one. The exception is the small 660cc microcars.

I nearly built one a few years ago, asked on here for advice. Went off the idea when I found out how many pipes are under my drive. The kit was about 5k at the time, plus the hole.

I'd actually hate to figure out if needs permission at all. It's not a case of looking up the GPDO under, "underground caverns that rise at the touch of a button"

It's probably one of those situations where you'd rather not have to deal with the issue as the development is 99.999% of the time out of sight and out of mind

Judging by the speed it goes up with the auto system, I can imagine that IF it does have one it would take a good 2000-3000 revolutions to even make it come close to opening!
