Default Goodwood.....now that was quick!!!

Because i live near Goodwood, I often go over the track during the week when various track days are held

over the years there have been some pretty fast cars going round, to date the best time ive seen was around 1:35 and that was an audi quatro (old style)

today that time was obliterated, literally!!!!!

the beast that accomplished this task

average lap: 1:10

one quick car

and sounds awesome too

Stormed the TG test track with a 1:08 IIRC too. YT Clip

Although the Renault F1 did a 59s YT Clip with a wet track

Loved the Prodrive AML teams comments when they came back to GT racing.

"This is our development year, we're not expecting alot"

They took 1st and 2nd in class overall!!!

That was impressive Mart, have you had the chance to drive around the track yourself? Its one of the few I have not had the chance to try, I hope I do one day.

Cool

I've driven Goodwood twice in my old AmD tweaked Golf R32, and it's a scary track! I believe it is still the fastest UK circuit.........

At the Goodwood revival I think Martin Brundle was hitting 165 on the fastest section and that was in the lightweight e type. In a car from the 60's.

Did anyone see the Austin a35's? Unbelievable.

Someone did a rough valuation of the cars at the meet and estimated that there was 85 million quids worth there if i remember correctly.

Fair play, they don't half give those old birds a boll - ocking

They bring them there to race and win with if possible, I am glad to say. Its always a surprise when you first realise just how fast those elderly cars were in their day.
