Something has changed with the freeview transmissions (I don't know the technicalities). Most boxes can cope but Sony's (and a few others') firmware cannot accommodate the change. You can't retune and if you delete your existing channels you can't get them back. My mum has the same issue with her tv but fortunately she has only deleted a couple of the channels. An updated firmware is available and is broadcast every few weeks, but since you've deleted all your existing channels, you won't be able to get it over the air and you will have to get a Sony technician to do the update physically. My mum's over the air update did not work properly so she will have to do the same, I've tried arguing that the "future proof TV" Sony sold her was not fit for purpose but Sony told me to take it up with the retailer.

More details and info of how to contact Sony (some have successfully blagged a free technician's visit), here: Sony DX50 - Cannot retune the IDTV - AVForums.com

Seriously, why do you feel the need to post in a weird colour/font? Is it an attention thing?

Yes 'bud'

Ironic that you have to spell the word "colour" like a dumb *** for it to work though.....
