The Fast & the Furious DVD, where are the videos?
#1
Hi,
I bought the Fast and the Furious DVD yesterday and did anyone notice that there are 16 extra "Special Features" but I can't find the trailer, or 3 Music Videos under the Special Features does anyone know how to view them ?
There actually was a Silver Scooby in the Race Wars scene only it never made it on film

Cheers Dude,
Could be the case,
I do now know that Dominic moved to Mexico which is shown after you watch all the credits,,, at the very end!
Also if you click to the right in the "Article which Enspired the Movie" Special Features on the DVD remote you get a steering wheel push OK and you can see the car crash extra footage, try it

I've got the R1 disk and I can access the videos and trailers using my DVD player. I will try and have a look tonight and get back to you on how to get to them.

Hi ZAZ,
Did you get a chance to find out anymore about this really exciting topic , if not it's ok?
I am surprised that nobody has asked the question why would a DVD play differently in a DVD Player than in a CD ROM DVD Player??

Apparently there are a couple of easter eggs in the movie too:
Mine hasn't arrived yet to test em yet tho
From the Main Menu, select Bonus Materials and press ENTER.
On the first Bonus Materials screen, move the cursor to Multiple Camera Angle Stunt Sequence.
Press RIGHT. A yellow steering wheel will become highlighted.
Press ENTER to watch a sequential collection of camera angles used in the scene where Dominic (Vin Diesel) crashes his Dodge Charger into a tractor trailer.

This one is not as thrilling as the other for actual effect, but it is perfect for those who like to find out more background to their movies.
Once again go to the Bonus Material section, select RACER X:The Article that Inspired the Movie. On the first page of the article press up once on the remote and you should see yet another steering wheel. Select this Icon and sit back and watch.

Seems to me there is no menu option to find them either.
I managed to access them last night by selecting the yellow steering wheel on the extras page. Once the scene showing the car crash is running you can use the select chapter button on your remote to view the other things on the DVD. It's a real pain though because if your timing is wrong you go straight back to the main menu.
It seems to me that the extras are on the DVD but they forgot to put the menu on to allow you to select them.

I have a region 2 and was playing it tonight.
TO GET THE EXTRA SCENES :
From the special features screen at the bottom is
MAIN MENU and PLAY MOVIE
move the cursor to the right of PLAY MOVIE onto the bars and the bars will go orange. Hit enter and it will give you the next bonus screen. Do the same on the next and it will give another screen,
On my region 2, second menu there are deleted scenes, music vids, crash angles etc etc etc.
Cheers

I didnt think there was a great deal of action. Not even looking at the cars, its a flashy but no guts remake of some classic Japanese street racing...now thats where its at
Region 1 & 2 are identical

Father Jack,
It's not at all like MI2 BTW I hate that film. It is more realistic but the thing is to not take it too serious. If you like car films like any film with a good car in it eg "Mad Max" or "Jackie Chan Who am I" Just to see the EVO 4 then you will love this. I did not like it the first time that I saw it, it took a second time (longing for) to really appreciate it for what it is.
Amazing modified cars I would love to see a modified Toyota Supra blow a Ferrari away on the roads

Sorry about the delay, I've got a bad memory and only just remembered to look at the DVD and reply to this.
On the R1 disk to get to the videos and stuff select Bonus Materials from the main menu then at the bottom of the next menu on the right there is a button called MORE. Go down until the arrow thing on the right of the word MORE turns red and press enter. The next menu has the videos, trailers etc.
Thanks DJ Dunk for the easter eggs, I knew about the first one but not the second.
Apparently the R1 and R2 disks are the same.

The prob on the R2 disc is that to get to the second page of extras etc the menu option on the first extras page is actually labled "play movie".
Great quality control

Its actually the little tag, or stylised arrow, next to 'play movie' , isnt it? As Chris mentioned above.......
IIRC, you can select both 'play movie' and the arrow to the right of it.

I've just watched it for the first time - what a pile of ****e!!.
How is it Hollywood can screw up such a cool premise for a film? Must be sheer talent on their part
Mind you, wouldn't say no to Vin Diesel's RX7 or the bird that played his sister in the movie!
DP.
