The guy I work with is the noisiest eater EVER. From pot noodles to soup its just annoying the hell out of me and i am about to throttle him ! I cant understand how he does not realise the noise he makes, he's worse than a pig !

Anyone else get annoyed by this?

I am, I have to leave the room when the guy at work eats. Makes me feel ill.

He sort of makes a scoffing / snorting noise when eating - like he's trying to breath at the same time as swallowing. Not pleasant.

Yes. I have a friend who munches really loudly on anything, eating with their mouths open etc. Winds me up something chronic. It even makes me concious of how loud I might be when eating lol. Puts me right of my food.

Noisy chewers and chakkers drive me up the fr*gging wall i cannot stand it. They also seem to have loads of mayo on stuff which just adds to the slopping and chewing.
Also what is it with anyone who eats with their mouth open and yep, one mate of mine does all 3 at the same time and im getting riled at the mere thought of it lol.

I also hate it when you are eating (at work) and someone comes down sits down opposite you and starts talking to you, leaning over analysing your food and asking what it is.

this guy eats his breakfast in the van on the way to work-an extra large tescos cookie thing, i have to turn the radio up to max and wind the window down to stop myself going mad.

I have come across noisy eaters. Some even make noise through the other end n all! Does my head in!

I get annoyed by fast eaters too. They finish far before you could. And then, they just gaze at you! You try to talk to them while you eat, just to keep them busy. It's an automatic reaction, when someone is staring at you after snuffling every bit from their own plate. But, talking during eating is hard, as you can imagine. Very annoying IMO

Bloke where I used to work would almost snort and snuffle while eating, another was a mouth open while chewing, mouth breather who seemed to like making whatever was in his gob as sloppy as possible and then move it to round his mouth in a tour before swallowing.
Like eating in stable sometimes.

Yes it annoys me. My children have been taught to eat properly: With their mouth closed and only speak with an empty mouth.

I feel like teaching some of the children that come for tea though.

If it really bothers you, just ignore it. I have a guy that sits opposite me (only 2 of us in the office most of the time) and he eats like a horse. It is so loud I could probably give a good guess as to what he was actually munching on!

I actually don't like hearing people eat full stop. Whether they are messy eaters of otherwise.

We have a chap in work who is a very noisy eater. Soup slurp, veg crunch crunch crunch and if any food is bought "for all" to share he will eat the lot - even the last one that most people are too polite not to eat.

He even appeared slightly miffed when asking me if the sausage rolls I had bought for everyone where vegetarian. They're sausage rolls FFS, not veggie burgers. Lips and ***** my friend!

We have 2 noisey eaters at my place. Shared an office with one of them for 5 years. The guy eats all f*cking day too.

Makes me feel sick. I refuse to sit next to them both at any work dinner we have.

Got to the point where I was having to stick my fingers in my ears or leave the office. Luckily he moved into another office.

Unluckily they are knocking down walls to make an open plan office before Christmas. Office plan shows me between them both.

We get our Bonus back end of November. May be handing in my notice in December. I can't work sat between them both.

How true is that! I'm surrounded by two people @ work who are constantly sniffing and when they sneeze, do they use a tissue? Er no...they just turn there head to the side and sneeze into the air
