You may be thinking of the long dead Steve McQueen. However I can understand the confusion. He had some nice watches as well.

It was Robert Redford in that film with him.

Carry on.

It was but I can understand the confusion.

Main things for me-
1. I liked some of his acting roles.

2. His salad dressing was good enough if given the choice of that or naked leaves.

3. Proper racer

4. Nice watch- thanks for the profit Paul, you'll be buying my next car.

Owner of the Newman-Haas racing team in the US as well as his sauce empire.. profits of which went to his charity.

He knew he had terminal cancer. Another legend passed.
RIP.

Shame ... great actor and stayed married to his first wife, coining the phrase, "Why go out for hamburger, when you have steak at home" .... rare to find someone in his business with such fidelity and, for that, I take my hat off to him.

Can't see any reason for anyone getting infracted so far.

Sad to hear that Paul Newman has died

A bloody good actor throughout the whole of his career and starred in some of the best films ever.

A sad loss

"Sometimes nothing is a real cool hand"

A sad loss as he was a great actor. Cool Hand Luke and The Sting being two of my favorite films starring Paul.

The classics such as

Butch Cassidy & The SunDance Kid
Coll Hand Luke
Towering Inferno
The Sting
The Hustler
Cat on A Hot Tin Roof

& the voice of Doc Hudson in Cars The Movie.

I read somewhere that he turned over the entire value of his ownership in Newmans Own ( his salad dressing & cookie company) to charity - around $120 million. And it wasnt because he knew he was dying.. he did it over the past couple of years before he knew he had lung cancer. It was to honour his 80th birthday. What a guy.

Paul Newman RIP

Daytona's with contrasting registers have subsequently become known as Paul Newman's, some would argue that the only true Paul Newman models are described as follows: The 6239 and 6241 case numbers, manual-wind, stainless steel non-Oyster cases, with non-screw-down pushers, and pre-Triplock crown, fitted with either the black dial with white registers, or the cream dial with black registers—featuring the aforementioned square markers within the registers.

A man who knew his watches, although he was never directly linked to the Rolex group, or indeed the Daytona.
