Waking up dead
Anyone ever done this?
You die in a dream and then instantly wake up?
I never had until last night and then it happened about Four or five times
Every time i went back to sleep i woke up again after dying in another dream.
I can't remember them all but it included being mauled by Wolves, drowning in a swimming race because the pool was too full of people for anyone to move, and some sort of weird rotting/de-existing from the inside out one too.
These were all obviously pretty cool but the best thing was the feeling after waking up........just felt awesome/electric/really alive.
Quite weird but definitely an enjoyable experience, i hope it happnes again
(I was completely sober and no drugs involved btw!)

PLUS, ever heard of dreams when you are falling but you wake before you land?!

Yes. Twice.
1st time, I went to bed after watching the news full of Bosnia troubles. I dreamt that I was among the derelict, demolished buildings, trapped among some soldiers. I was shot in my stomach, and the life was oozing out of me. Everything seemed so meaningless at that point, I felt so aloof going just by myself.......... leaving my family behind, who I would never be with. Everything around me was fading.........my heart was sinking slowly, and rapidly...........
I was about to finally and fully snuff it, but I suddenly woke up
in a terror, tears streaming down my eyes! I was literally sobbing my eyes out! 
It was a bad dream.
The second time around, I died under water.
I don't like such dreams/nightmares.
Cool, he don't need help.
Such nightmares are normal. Human being can experience all sorts in their dreams. From marrying Paris Hilton to dying- anything!

Thankfully I sleep soundly. I'm told it's due to a clear conscience
Marrying Paris Hilton would be one hell of a frightener.

personally i hate it, i always assumed i was literally 'scared stiff' as it always comes after a nasty nightmare and i'll be terrified as the dream always involves me feeling pain of some description. how weird.
wonder if there's a shrink reading this thread, they could make a mint

This was the whole premise for the Nightmare on Elm Street films. Basically if you dream of falling off a cliff etc you will wake up right at the point where you hit the ground. You never actually 'die' in your sleep. In the films if Freddie actually managed to kill you in your dream then that was it, game over.

I had a dream a while ago, that I had gone to visit my best mate (she died just coming up to 3 years ago) out in the ether somewhere. It was so vivid, and when I was on my way back from wherever, I was soaring back down to Earth, through the clouds and it was a sort of very early morning light (when it literally is just changing from night to dawn). I suddenly thought I wasn't going to get back, and my heart was thumping. I couldn't see Earth through the clouds, then with a rush and a thump I woke up.
Stayed with me for a few days, that one.
