Could Religion be proved fake?
With all this business with CERN in Geneva and discovering why we are even here, will these discoveries prove that religion is fiction?
Will there be a few billion people feeling very gullible, or will there still be a way to twist words in various bibles to further brainwash people?

I'd have thought Darwin's therory of Evolution would have made more of an impact...but did little to sway people's views.
Religion does not have to be proven, one of it's greatest "get out of jail free" cards

Why would the discovery of the Higgs Boson, or the Graviton, dispell religion?
Rest assured, the LHC is not going answer the eternal mysteries of life, the universe and everything. It will ask far more questions than it answers.
For the love of God (Sic) please lets not have *another* thread about how all religion is fake and anyone that follows it is a complete fool.
Aggressive aethiests are every bit as bad as people that force feed religion.

Why has it become so important to everyone to 'prove' there is no God?
I'm just looking forward to the day God pulls the plug on the Internet leaving just a short message on everyones screen
'FFS go outside and play'

If you really want to be in the business of discrediting the beliefs of religious people, you had better make sure that you know what you are talking about!

The universe was created when an infinitely small group of particles, with an infinite mass, exploded.
But what caused it to explode?
God?

I have a sneaking suspicion that the universe follows the same laws has most of quantum mechanics - That is, it is impossible to exist in and understand the universe at the same time - you either do one or the other

Does anyone ever think that for e.g, the universe and everything in it could all be tiny particles inside a piece of giant cheese that is part of a much bigger world?
In that world there could be planets with people just like this one. Time could move much more slowly for us, and for e.g, millions of years as we see it, could be just a few seconds to the super giants and their cheese.
The human race may cease to exist, not because of an ice age, or asteroid hitting the earth, but because one of the giants has eaten the cheese that contains our universe and everything in it.
This is surely possible?

It is leerdammer. In my theory, the universe and everything within are in one of the holes. In a dark cellar. That explains why space appears black
