Found this wee guy in our cichlid tank the other day

I did not even know any of them were breeding, have not noticed any different behaviour, we would have had around 50 eggs to begin with but this wee fella seems to be the only one to have made it, currently he is about 2cm long



we put him in the floating hatchery you see in the pic but he managed to get out somehow and is now living happily in one of the pieces of ocean rock in the tank

mummy fish looks like she has maybe laid some more eggs in the tank among the leaves of one of the plastic plants in the tank so who knows we could have some more soon. The fella at my local aquatics shop says that now a couple of them are breeding they will keep at it and mummy fish will become a proper wee egg factory

I have never kept fish before so I am obviously doing something right. I have the cichlid tank and a larger community tank
