Did you know it only takes 14" of water to lift and sweep away a 2 tonne 4x4?

Good luck.

Straight down the A1 to Bradbury for me.Then across, then back home, the joys of having to take the Girlfriend to work(Nurse)

River Derwent swept away an Iron bridge today just down the road from me.

Jesus! That's^ some flooding!

We don't get floods "floods" so often where I live. it's a bit hilly here. But the town bit, and towards Wrexham does get flooded. I will take some pics to post if it happens. I remember the road A541 to Wrexham flooded about 6 years ago. It caused a fair bit of damage.

I guess its going to be a bit muddy and wet Hope you get it sorted soon. I'll never ever ever buy a house near water. I have no idea how I would cope with a flooded house.

We have a pump Loooooooomy, it gets rid of the worst of it and fortunately because the water comes up through the floor it only leaves a little bit of silt as it gets filtered as it comes up. The garden however is another matter, I'm just hoping it's washed all the weeds away

Oh my! You must flood pretty often to have a setup like that I hope you go back to relative calm As for gardens, well I hate those anyway They set off all my allergies

Sal, how does the pump work, is it automatic etc? The reason I ask is because I think I need something like that in my garage, it's prone to flooding if we get torrential rain.

It sits in a sump under the floor and has a float on it, when the water level in the sump rises the float rises too and switches the pump on

Cool, what size is the sump, are the pumps expensive and where does it pump the water to? sorry for the question time.
