Angry Can't watch England football qualifier - fuming!

I don't have Setanta Sports and I am at home looking after the kids tonight.

I've known this for a while and not too bothered, its only Andorra etc so I'll maintain media silence and watch the highlights on BBC.

So I'm gong through the menu to Sky+ the highlights... what highlights? Nothing!

Now I'm fuming, basically if you don't have access to Setanta then you can't watch the game.

Its outrageous, fair enough if I don't subscribe to a channel I can't see the game live, but surely there is some kind of ruling that competative internatioal football must be available via terrestrial TV via highlights at a minimum

Not happy at all.

Unless I have missed something there are no highlights either on terrestrial or Sky. I even checked Setanta sports news (that I get via Sky) and they don't have highlights either.

Is there anyway I can watch the game online?

GRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I'm amazed just how much people are prepared to pay for just a game of football. At the rate we are going the free channels will be left with just total toss

At least F1 is on live TV atm, I'd certainly not Setanta it, thats for sure!

Justin.tv is the best I have found. The others load up ok, but skip and pause frequently. The Justin.tv one is easy to use. Just pop onto the site look in either sports or schedule and find the match your after. I'll be using it for the England match later, as I'm not paying £10 a month for one extra sports channel that shows mainly Scottish football, when I'm a Man United fan

LOL I have Setanta

It's the same on Wed for the big one against Croatia I believe

There is no ruling re terrestrial having to show competitive match highlights It's a commercial contract which Setanta bid for and won...

Phone them now - they might have a special offer on... Instant connection

Setanta's not to bad these day's it shows a premiership game most weekends, my mate gets it free with bt vision so i'm off round his to watch it Sky is still the best though it's sports coverage is superb and without the likes of sky most of our sport would still be playing in the dark ages, just look what happened when ITV took charge of the championship, they almost sent half of the clubs bankrupt, and who bailed them out ??? Sky did. Admittidly most of the channels on sky are complete ****e with the exception of the likes of the discovery channels, most isn't worth shelling out for, but if you like sport then in my eyes you get your moneys worth out of sky as there generations ahead of all other broadcasters with technology, even on setanta the quality of picture is awful sometimes, sky is awsome especially in HD.

Watched it via justin.tv but it kept going down towards the end, so I was then watching it on iraqgoals - which was also showing it via justin.tv but the quality was better for some reason!

i got a good pic on Justin TV the second half..still not convinced by England's performance though..You cant blame Capello he really has his work cut out..this is probably one of the most testing times in his career i reckon..

Its amazin how a channel can grow and become a very competetive channel, when it 1st came out it was free, all 3 of them.
The slowly they have become pay per view on most things.

when they 1st came out i thought, pah, wont last long, what with sky sports etc, feel like a dragon now turnin down dyson

When Virgin added Setanta to thier system, my monthly fee went up by £0.00.

So no, it's not better value.
