Default FAO Pete 'Subway' Brant

From some of your posts I was assuming you had these for Breakfast, lunch and tea.

Had one yesterday.Ordered 12''(without thinking).Have to admit they put an awful lot of everything on it (couldn't hear what the girl was asking me so just kept saying yes to everything).Couldn't believe the size!!

Ate the other half I was going to save for today 'cos it was rather good.Sooo.......

It beats the horrible Morrisons sandwich I normally have.Probably a draw with the bloomin lovely sandwich I had from Waitrose t'other day.All in all a better lunch than the normal cack people put up with from shops

If only!!! I do limit myself to having one as a special treat now and then (now and then meaning a gap of a few weeks, not a few hours )

Do they still microwave their meat in these places? Subway seems to be the choice food of chavs around here.

Italian BMT (footlong) is my fav with everything on, with either spicy sauce or southwest sauce. Its also a good hand over cure as well !

Just wish they where a bit cheaper, have to limit myself to only one a week !

Have any of you tried the can you eat two foot long challenge /

My local offered grated cheese instead of the sliced processed stuff yesterday. I was so taken aback that I instinctively declined, but on reflection I wonder whether it would have been tastier.

Only one way to find out...

Mmmm steak n cheese yum!

Hadnt been for a while before last week and prices seem to have gone up. Sure a footlong was £1.40 extra now its £2. Still better than baguettes at work and I usually get BMT on Thurs as sub of the day. Got a whole load of vouchers as well.

Obviously none of you bright folk watched the undercover sandwich program on tv recently.

Subway's meatball sandwich contains the equivilent salt of 11 bags of crisps in 6inch form, climbing to 18 for the footlong.
Their whole setup was questionable.

Steer clear.

Cool

Pah - we have our own subsidised restaurant staffed by a crack team of pro chefs. Different menu everyday and a charge of a massive £3.50 for a main course!!

Even in the heart of the West End I've yet to find a better deal for luchtime eating.

This is what is wrong with the world today.Everyone approaches salt with a crucifix. We used to dip our celery in a saucer of salt when we were kids.

Anyway,I love salt and the government can go whistle

Used to watch in horror as my Grandfather poured salt over nearly everything he ate (ie. eating a fresh tomato he'd pour salt on after every bite)

Anyway, he died.....

......2 months short of his 100th birthday

Certain he'd have made the century if only he hadn't eaten as much salt
