Just the normal number with no pre fixs, iirc for texts, assuming it's an English number.

If it is to Spain you need +34 (remove the 0) and then the rest of the number.

If you are texting to a different country you have to put the country code.

Unless he is asking how you text an English mobile whilst they are abroad in which case as you say it is just the English number.

Again if it is an English number you are texting, then you wont need to do anything to the number no matter where she is.

Cool

I was in Mallorca last week, and when we texted home, I just texted the name in my addr book and it knew it was UK (we were going thru Vodafone ES, we are Vodafone here) and when I wanted to text the guy who's apartment we were in, we just texted his number without any codes.

I would assume though that if you wanted to text a number in Spain whilst in the UK, you would have to do 0039..... or +39...... for it to work ok.

english phone in the uk, texting another english phone anywhere where there is coverage, you just use the normal number without any additonal prefixes.

English phone abroad to another english phone (again anywhere) you will need to use the uk country code +44 or 0044
