Something BIG happening in Liverpool?
Some BIG deal going on in Liverpool this weekend.....anybody know what it is?
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, ...road closures, large security operation, etc.
Tell me more....supposed to be goin public Thursday, but I want to know now.

I heard unconfirmed reports that theres a car being driven through the town centre of Liverpool over the weekend that has nice alloy wheels, a fully functioning stereo/radio/cd player ,AND an almost full years tax.
maybe thats the reason?

La Machine Liverpool 5/6/7 September 2008.
By the same outfit that did the giant elephant parading through London a couple of years ago. I've a feeling it could be the highlight of the 'Capital of Culture' year, so am driving up for it.

Not sure, Yoza. Read about it a couple of weeks ago, but they're keeping very quiet. It'll be some sort of procession through the city centre, but by what, I don't know.

The site says they'll start drip feeding info from tomorrow, so it'll all unfold by Friday. A bit 'viral marketing'-ish, but I'm really looking forward to it. I'll look out for a bloke in the crowd with a huge watch!

They probably installing a giant sunbed over the city in an effort to cut greenhouse emissions going by how orange all the birds in Liverpool are

We've been down to see it this evening- its bloody massive!
