Default Which shipping/courier company?

Hello.

I'm thinking of putting some fairly big/heavy floorstanding speakers for sale on ebay. Somebody adviced me to offer shipping to Europe to get the best price. Could anybody advice on which would be a good company to get quotes from with regards to this?

I need a reliable company that will make life easier for me, not neccesarily the cheapest.

Many thanks

Hi Deep,
I recenty talked to DHL regarding some bulky shipping overseas. On my hesitation over their huge costs, they suggested me to go to Interparcel- a company that is subcontracted by, or somehow engaged with DHL. Interparcel prices were nearly half of the DHL prices for the same weight and volume of the parcel. They provided as fast and reliable service as DHL. Just type Interparcel in Google bar. You should get some info.
Hope this helps.
Hopefully there will be more/better suggestions from some more experienced people here.

I've used APC loads of times for European deliveries. Best way for heavy and/or bulky items was to palletise them. APC will collect from me and take it back to their depot. They then put them onto an individual pallet and its all shrink wrapped.
Last time it was 6 big boxes going to Poland, and they were 1/2 the price of Fedex who I've used in the past.

In the UK they do an economy pallet upto 300kg for 47quid (not sure if those rates reflect me being a regular customer or not).

Whatever and wherever you send, its often the volume not the weight that bumps costs up.

APC overnight parcel delivery service UK, Nationwide overnight courier company
