Default tv audio boffin required.

My mum cant hear the telly,
she sits as far away as possible and complains she cant hear it

so, she has a viera 32"lcd, whats the cheapest option in terms of speakers that will fit her telly and i can place near her so she can hear it please,
advise appreciated,

and no she wont have an ear trumpet

Mains powered amplified computer speakers. All youll need to add will be a whatever-length male to female 3.5mm extension.

As above, any pair (or more if you want 5.1 etc) of 'active' speakers. Start from under a tenner which will be worse than what's in the telly, some very good ones are the Audioengine range. Back in the day, Wharfedale Active Diamonds were the daddy.
