Toshiba SD210 DVD (multi region (cdr cdrw mp3 ect digital out component video ect))

£176 delivered with 3 year warranty

will be far far better than the bargain basment type supermarket specials

If you're going to buy from Scan, make sure you check the todays special page each day. At least once a week they will put a DVD player on and theres a bit of a saving to be had.

Be very careful with the Scan model I had two both faulty and it took 6 months for me to get a refund and I had to argue like mad to get the postage refunded

There are plenty of similar horror stories with scan in the DVD forums.

Just be very careful if you are dealing with them!

The problem with the Scan was with early models - the later ones are fine.

I had one as a stopgap and the "outlaws" have got one as well - no problems.

Thanks

Gavin

The Scan SC-2500 is a good price/performance player.

Multiregion, MP3, Flash Upgradable, DTS, Dolby Dig.

Info can be found at http://www.scan.co.uk, click products then DVD.
