A conversation with a magazine editor tonight hinted that he's knocking on Heaven's door, and a quick Google confirms it. Given up an Chemo and chosen to be at home with his family for the end

Not just known for his acting and 'all profits for charity' sauce company, he is also co-owner of Newman Hass Lanigan race teamin the US.... nice bloke by all accounts.

Apparently, he has had cancer for ages, and they thought he was in remission but it came back and this time the Dr told him there is nothing more they can do, hence why he has quit the chemo and returned home to die
