Default In / around Newquay - places to stay (camp)

Me and some mates are going down to Cornwall for a few days camping / drinking etc and are trying to find decent campsites (showers etc would be nice) in or near to Newquay.
Can anyone suggest somewhere as I dont know the area at all. We would like to be near the coast and "fun" areas (lots of women etc!)

Cheers.

Hendra holiday park is okay but if you have too many males in your group they will not allow it.

I would avoid it at all costs this weekend, there is a surf competition on and chris **** face moyles is down representing radio 1. It took me nearly 2 hours to drive 3 miles this afternoon

Had a few good holidays at Trevella camping site near Crantock. Cracking beach just down the road, and near the river too.

Mind you, I am remembering back 40 years, so things may have changed a little since then

Crantock is still one of the nicest beaches here, but I reckon the newquay experience is a world away from back then. Unless it was pissed up stag hen parties, low class strip joints and people ******** down alley ways and on the beaches.

Excellent site, I last stayed around 5 years ago, but plan to take the family next year. Only five mins away from the local supermarket as well now , from trevella you can do the Gannell walk down to Crantock beach, so you don't even need to take your car.
