Default frogs / toads in the house ??

Help !!! wife noticed a small black coloured frog / toad in the house the other night, never thought anymore about it until tonight just after getting back in from walking the dog - wife / kids in bed asleep, in I go to watch a bit off late night tv and what do I see jumping around the livingroom ??

a minute later the wife had been awakend !!! no way was I going back into the livingroom until I knew that this thing was out off harms way !! yep youv`e guessed it I stood at the top off the stairs barking orders whilst the poor wife had to deal with our late night univited guest !!!

so okay one I could have put down to bad luck, but two within the space off a week or two is too much for me, why are these animals comming into the house ?? funny enough have heard a few neighbours speaking about noticing frogs / toads whatever they are in and around the gardens lately, apart from the very heavy rainfall we have been having up here in scotland the last while, why the sudden appearance ?? while can think off no other reason why we have started to notice them ??

why do they come into the house ??
do they die off in winter ??

will I ever get over my fear ??!!

Our fred seems quite happy outside. Makes a squeek every now and again and hops off somewhere, but usually found under the same plant pot. (plus its really odd to find a frog that squeeks like this one does, so its the same one).

On the subject of univited guests, I foudna huge moth in boucing on the kitchem window. Knowing they ahd just been cleaned, I caught in a mug and took it outside.

Once ouside, I let it go free, and guess where it flys?

Yes, straight back through the door and into the kitchen :

I once went into the kitchen and was confronted by a snake who was on the work surface and promptly farted to keep me away.

Is your house called the Willows? Have you left a window open and is there wind blowing through?

I took a look for a reason why a frog would be in a house and came up with nothing - except: Food.

It might be that you have flies in the house and the frog / toad has come hunting. Get some insect repellent and get rid of the flying sods and the bouncing sod might leave as well.

Pah, thats nothing compared to what we get if we leave the conservatory door open too long. One crazy rabbit runs into the conservatory, then living room, to the hallway and then upstairs into the bedroom.

OH MY GOD!!!!!

If Swiss stood at the top of the stairs to make me get the frog out of our house I would push him down the stairs!

There is a minging frog in our garden! I jumped out of my skin and shouted "F**K ME"! threw my gloves down, ran in the house and slammed the door just incase it followed me! I left my poor daughter looking at it saying "mummy, can we keep it as a pet"!

Later that evening I google earthed our neighbours houses to see if they had a pond!

I now wont go in the garden because of the frog and Swiss found a mouse in our summerhouse so that is out for me too! PLUS our neighbour told me there was a slow worm in his garden and it came into ours!

I need to move to the moon I think as now I will be scared about finding a snake in the kitchen! Thanks Spoon! ( )

That evening did your daughter then say "Mummy, mummy, f**k me is still in the garden"

Hey and the snake came up the hosepipe from outside and in through the open window onto the work surface. It stunk when I approached it, you could almost see a farty fog. I picked it up, took it back outside and put it in the field.

My partners Aunty was in her living room and a snake slithered out from under the sofa she was sat on...

I think she may have needed a clean pair of knickers after that

i found one living under the carwash track when one of the drains had been blocked a little, and it had made a nice 10 meter long 1 foot deep swimming pool for itself

how it

1. got under in the first place
2. found anything to eat??
3. managed to stay alive with all the alloy wheel acid chemicals going down i have no idea

proper mutant killer frog

i lifted up one of the track plates one day and saw the little blighter jump off a roller and shoot away, having not seen anything like this under my track before i got a bit of a fright

he is hiding behind the chain in this photo

caught the little fella and kept him as a pet for about a week

gribbit

then he escaped after i found him a grassy/mossy covered rock to sit on

he was suprisingly tame, and would let me stroke him might have been off its **** on chemicals mind
