anyone been on a city break to Bordeaux
my missus is looking at a weekend away,
the cheapest flights and the best time for us is for her to go to bordeaux,
anyone been is theer much to do there?

I lived out there for a while. Great place. The airport is about 25 mins from the city centre. The city itself is lovely and the cathedral is worth a look. Plenty of shopping opportunities in and around the Place de la Victoire. You could also take a 60 minute trip inland to the beautiful walled town of St.Emilion.
Alternatively, grab a hire car and pop out to the beach which is about 45 mins away. Lovely beaches and Lacanau Ocean has some lovely scenery

We had a short break there back in the early 90's - seemed to end up doing trips to vineyards for some reason.
As Matt says, the beach is good via the train (Arcachon?) and St Emilion is very attractive.... and has some very good vineyards around it.
