I just connect mine up as an external drive (through the USB) and then drag and drop the files in to the appropriate directory - think its called UK maps or some such.

thanks nigel - part of the problem is i can't find the usb lead! that was going to be my first try, and would be my preferred method

i'll keep searching...i think my neighbour across the road has a TTone as well so i may be able to borrow his lead if necessary

Richard,

Mine is an older one and I can remove the SD card from it and then plug that into the computer. New ones don't have this, so if this is like yours you'll need the lead. But the leads are just the same as many peripherals with a 'mini' usb to regular USB - I've got loads of these!

yes mine is the older version as well. i'm not sure which files on the card to replace (or whether i just add additional files to the same folder) so i thought it may be easier to just plug it in.

i have loads of mini usb leads, the really tiny ones, by this is the mid sized one. i can;t find my lead or any others! my neighbour doesn;'t have one so i may need to go over to my parents' place later and borrow one....unless you're anywhere near the apu campus where the substation fire was a short while ago and could lend me one?

If it's the first time then you just add the files into the right folder (the one that's probably called UK map).

If you're updating then drag the new ones in and Windows File Manager will ask if you want to delete the old ones just say yes.

Job done
