Got someone who insists they have sent payment to me, yet it hasnt appeared in my paypal

Ive opened a non payment dispute through Ebay, as after 7 days of trying to contact the buyer, he has been quite elusive

Since the dispute opened, he has been in touch but via email not through ebay, and still hasnt responded in the dispute console, only via email

What he has sent me is this

Your payment for £125.00 GBP to blah blah blah has been initiated. This payment will be completed once the recipient has accepted the payment.

Now he tells me he definatly paid, and maybe its just me not accepting his payment

He isnt demanding where his goods are, more that he is insisting he paid

Now I have never had to accept a payment through Paypal its always been automatic, and there arent any eCheque things there either, so to me he hasnt paid

Is this some kind of scam thing or is he genuine ?

doesnt matter now, ive realised his mistake, he has made payment to an incorrect email address

same thing is happening to me , he has sent a payment and it say i have accepted it but i havent had it into my paypal account, so im just refusing to budge until i receive the money. im having nothing but trouble with pay pal at the moment
