Just got my latest wage slip and noticed it was lower than i was expecting.
Got the long story short i spoke to the tax people and they said i owe £890 from a previous employer from 2 years ago and it was found out on a p11d form.

They are now charging me £75 a month till it is paid off. I really cant afford to pay this at the moment is there any way i can sort this out or spread the amount over a longer period.

any advice would be good

Speak to them, explain - although you will need to be forearmed with a comprehensive account of your income and outgoings - do not embroider it, be straight and honest. It may buy you some more time although as this is a couple of years old they may not see the funny side of it.

Also, find out exactly what it was for on the P11D as it may be wrong/incorrect, stranger things have happened.
