Borneo - anyone been?
#2
I have been to Borneo and it was a good place. I went to Sabah and Sarawak, went to an orangutan sanctuary, climbed Mount Kinabalu, went in caves and stayed in a long house for an evening.
All in all a great time, the hotels (well the ones I stayed in) were 5 star and I was loathed to leave to go and stay in a spider infested longhouse.
Have a look here: Visit Borneo.com - Adventure travel, jungle holiday, culture, business information on Borneo, Sabah, Sarawak, Kalimantan and Brunei, East Malaysia, Borneo

Stayed in Kota Kinabalu in 2005 and have been several times to Brunei working.
Can reccommend the Shrangri-la in Kota Kinabalu, we split two weeks with Kuala Lumpur and had a fantastic time.

I enjoyed looking around Brunei though. Didn't they have a museum dedicated to Winston Churchill? Also spent a minute or two wondering how to get the gold off the turrets!

I went a few years ago and had a great time. Not sure if I'd pick it as a honeymoon spot though, unless you want to climb mountains, walk jungles see monkies etc.
If you want something romantic and exotic in that part of the world Thailand or Maylasia might be better. I can strongly recommend the Pimlai resort in Thailand, its on its own little island.
Or why not African safari (luxury lodges are very romantic) combined with an Indian Ocean island
