City Rover in Portugal - MOT?
Hi all,
My father in law has taken over to Portugal a City Rover for them to use over there. The MOT/TAX is due to run out in October. What options are there for him to re-new these? He is not 100% sure if its stopping over there for good, but is the only option to get the car back to the UK for tests, or can this be done some other way?
Thanks,
PaulG.

The vehicle will have to be returned to the UK for the MOT and consequently the tax which will have to be sent to a UK address at it can only be used outside the UK for periods up to six months provided it is legally allowed to be used in its country of origin.
There are no loopholes despite the assertions of various dodgy insurance companies proliferating the Iberian peninsula run by equally dodgy Brits.
