Periodic Table videos
I do like a bit of chemistry now and then, always fascinating the properties and reactions of certain items.
It seems the University of Nottingham has created a collection of videos discussing/showing the properties of elements on the Periodic Table. Have a look here (Not all elements had a video yesterday, but it appears that they do now )
Sodium (Na) is one of the amusing videos, and something I think we've all done in the chem lab at one time or another Potassium (K) is another good schoolboy chemistry lab playtime one too
You've got to love Martyn Poliakoff's hairstyle, a proper Mad Professor look.
Oh and if you're wondering, no, they don't do anything silly when it comes to Plutonium (Pu), I was hoping for a "Darius Jedburg" display, but alas not, and probably a good thing too as criticality incidents tend to make you feel a little under the weather.

I enjoyed Physics and Chemistry, especially qualitative analysis, you could get up to all sorts of nefarious things in that!
The best trick was blowing down your bunsen burner so that everybody else's went out.

I am going to watch all those and learn them.
We have a mug with them all, in fact I may make the kids watch one a day, that will freak the chem teacher out at school.

The only thing I remember from Chemistry lessons at school is the teacher's horrendous acne, my teeny mind assumed that it was from exposure to all the chemicals which was enough to put me off chemistry for life
The only thing I remember is making desk-top size fireworks which was really cool
