Question Cloning Insurance

For £70 per annum Barclaycard will cover you for the financial costs of being cloned. I didn't get all the details but the cover seemed reasonably comprehensive.

So is it worth it or is it just for the well heeled that travel to dodgy places or use garages North of Watford?

Do others offer similar?

Perhaps I should post this twice

I've got barclaycard and use their card protection which works against cloning etc also loss of any cards, passport, driving licence, home or abroad. It also covers a locksmith if i loose my car or house keys + loads of other stuff. It only costs me about £30 per year.

I'm confused now as I took out that scheme today at around £35. But I think that's just for cards plus some emergency cash etc if you're stranded in Mongolia but not the heavyweight cloning protection???? dl

You are already covered in the standard terms and conditions. All the policy does is charge you a load of money to cover notifying a couple of other people that your card has been cloned. Save your money.

OK. Perhaps I should have used the term Identify Theft in OP. Pretty hairy if it does actually happen. dl
