How **** is radio Five Live!!
Been using this to commute to work this week;
Trouble is it's still got the factory fitted MW/LW radio (not even a cassette player) and Five Live is the only station I seem to be able to get, I didin't pay much attention on Monday as I was still half asleep, didn't go to that job yesterday, so this morning was the first time I actually listened
Dear God I wish I hadn't : Richard Bacon and the clueless bint he has with him are so amateurish it defies belief, and the chimps they had on from 5pm were even worse
I wouldn't mind so much but my licence fee is going into funding that sh!te
Can someone recommend me a decent station that I can listen to until I can fit a new radio this weekend, please

Another vote for 5 Live and I quite like the Columbian Marching Powder snorter, Mr. Bacon!
As for Talk Sport, any station that has that clown George Galloway as a presenter just doesn't deserve my attention.

As to your original point, 5 Live or R4 are the only radio I listen to regularly. 5 is repetative between 4pm and 7pm, has in the last 5 years become dumbed down somewhat in line with the population and does have some particularly partisan hosts (seriously lefty liberals) like Colin Murray or Steve Nolan who tend to cut off or dismiss anyone saying anything that might be construed as anti gay, muslim, black etc. R4 is still true to form but is aimed at the more 'mature' listener.
You can still get Virgin on 1215 I think, where at least the music is OK (i.e. mostly not new).

Five live is tosh, five live sport extra is very good. But Talk sport has the best SPORTS CHAT (forget the numptys in the day) after 4 pm. I'm banned from going on air with talk sport after i gave Ray Houghton and the MANC **** (on saturday eve's) He's such a dick i cant be bothered to remember his name. Tried to get on, to, talk to Stan Collymore earlier today but they wont let me. LOL.

If it is a choice between 5 live and chris moyles in the morning... I would pick 5 live every time.
If it was a choice between chris moyles and having my ears injected with rat pee i would pick the rat pee every time.
Does that mean 5 live is good? Hmmmm I dont know

Pontificating
It was Victoria Derbyshire and Julian Worrkier who preseneted the show for a while now - it was a great show. I have a horrible feeling Bacon and trhe bint have taken over from them. In which case i shall be moving back to R4 or if i want music R2

5 Live is the only station I listen to, if it gets boring I stick a CD on.
Agree about Richard Bacon, he's a muppet, but Nicky Campbell is very good, but Peter Allen from 4pm is the best! I think he may be away this week also!

Five live is good for one thing - Sport. Thier news coverage is "ok". Peter Allen is ok, but Nicky Campbell is a dick.
Of course Radio 4 is easily the best radio station out there.

It's a genuine one lady owner car
My Aunt bought it new back in April 89, and gave it to me last month because she's bought newer one.
It's done 57k miles on two sets of tyres and spent pretty much every night of it's life in a garage
Until I got it the radio had never even been switched on
On the down side it's a 1.2 automatic, so it's not exactly brisk
PS: The wheels is off my '91 Golf 16V innit

To be honest it's growing on me, apart from the radio, and the unsupportive seats that don't slide back anywhere near far enough (typical of jap cars of that era), it's not actually that bad
Kind of like a Mk1 Golf on Valium
