Default Best all in one package?????

Me and miss sg555 are getting closer to moving in our first house and we need to make a decision on what broadband/phone package to have. Just after your opinion on what you have and would you recommend it to us?

The only two i really know of are BT and Sky. With Sky being the favorite due to getting sky tv included in the package.

Cheers

im with ntl, had a few issues with the tv. beware of hidden internet speed caping as well with them.

other than that they seem ok. the capping hasn't relay been an issue

Im with Sky and they're pretty good, works out seriously cheap (even free depending on your download limit preference) for the broadband, and it's a lot easier just having everything bundled up together.

I was with Tiscali for BB and had a terrible time with them, really rubbish customer service, they are partnered with Talk Talk.

Id say get the Sky package that suits, you wont get a bundle much cheaper/better, although if you're in a cable area you could look at the Virgin packages.

I would never go "all under one roof" For TV BB and phone. Because:

(i)If they have problems, it could affect all your services
(ii)It reduces your bargaining power to get the best deal
(iii)It can restrict you to using thier equipment
(iv)You are less likely to leave a given provider for poor service because you are tied in everywhere (and they know it)

Also, given the quite stupendous deals you can get on mobiles at the moment, I just have the most basic BT line rental package, to give me a line for BB, absolutely nothing thrown in at all, because my house phone is basically my mobile.

I went with talktalk free broadband, free land line calls £20 per month. Shocking customer service though.

I've recently been in the same position, well a few months ago when we bought our first house.
I went with Virgin for all 3, got 2mb fibreoptic broadband, Digi tv and phone for £30 a month, you can specify faster broadband for extra cost, but I only use it for browsing and the occasional download on itunes so it's fine for us.

If you go with Sky for phone you also have to pay BT Line rental, where as with Virgin the line rental is included. We also get free weekend calls, but the land line isn't much of an issue as I only really use mobile.
Would definately recommend having a look at virgin, only downside is I wanted Sky1 which I can't get to watch prison break

If you want to get yourself £50 off your bill they have a refer a friend scheme on Virgin, I can give you my details as a referal and i'll also get £50. Even better, if you go through a company called quidco, Virgin media are offering £65 cashback on all bundles.

if you can get virgin, then the BB is great with it's fibreoptic line,

if not sky's new customer package is good, £30 set up.
£16 p/m for its minimum package
free router, free weekend and evening landline phone calls. free bb (2mb and 2gb) or £5 p/m extra for 8mb line about 16gb (?) or £10 for 16mb and ultd usage
