Affected me big time at work, had to ring about 30 of our Skoda customers to inform them that there has been a 'slight incident' with their vehicles!

Wonder if this is covered by their insurance? Aren't things like this normally classed as acts of God?

They should have just sold them as special editions with 'unique styling features' - could have charged extra then

Whatever the facts, I wouldnt want it, and would demand a different car. Unless the dented areas were replaced with new wings, bonnets, etc.

Guy at work ordered a Tigwan? for his wife. Been told it'll be another 5 weeks if he still wants the same spec/colour. They've managed to find him the same colour but slightly diff spec for delivery in 2 weeks.

Not here in Germany thank god! Hail damage is so common that it is covered under your car insurance.

We get hail the size of golf ***** here, my mates STi 7 was trashed by hail a few years ago, every panel was dented, it looked like a golf ball.

Insurance paid for it.

We have the Mercedes plant here in Boeblingen aswell as the Smart plant and Mercedes have planes that go up and spray the clouds with something to prevent the hail stones forming into golf *****. Which is great for the rest of us as our cars are not damaged either.

There is nothing freak about the hail storms we get here???

Fortunately they always happen around the same time each year and you can usually tell when they are going to hit so you can get your car under cover if possible.
